It is my sincere belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care and, as your therapist, I will always strive to provide that for you. I will support you in building a life that brings you peace, purpose, and happiness. My identity as a millennial South Asian American woman strongly informs my work, and I am well aware of the impact of social and environmental factors on our mental health. My professional background as a school and community mental health provider has also given me a profound awareness of how systems can impact an individual’s well-being. These experiences have led me to develop a holistic therapeutic framework that is rooted in cultural humility and in recognizing the humanity within every individual.

Modality and Approach

I work every day to cultivate an empathetic and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable processing their innermost emotions and life experiences. I operate from both a humanistic and Person-in-Environment (PIE) lens, prioritizing self-actualization while exploring the role of a client’s surrounding social, economic, and cultural context on their behavior and mental health. I utilize a range of modalities, including reflective listening, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, strengths-based counseling, and trauma-informed CBT, to help facilitate healing at the deepest level. Furthermore, as I recognize the strong connection between the mind, body, and spirit, I integrate body awareness techniques and basic yoga into my practice.

You are more than a diagnosis, and it is important to me to get to know all aspects of you and your story. Our work together is meant to be a collaborative process in which you feel both empowered and supported. I look forward to serving as a guide and cheerleader throughout your journey of self-discovery and personal growth!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental health and well-being?

I am a big believer in taking time to “stop and smell the roses” in the midst of our busy lives. Whether it is exploring our city’s beautiful parks and botanical gardens, sipping herbal tea at a cozy neighborhood coffee shop, or jamming out to my favorite tunes in my apartment, I make it a point to create space for joyful moments.
