I strive to create a client-centered space that is mindful of the cultural contexts, systems,
and identities that may impact you and our relationship.

Summary
I believe everyone has a right to quality mental health support, and this motivates my
approach to developing a trusting, non-judgmental, and client-centered therapeutic
relationship. Navigating life transitions, stressors, and relationships can be arduous,
making engaging in therapy that much more difficult. Through working together, I aim to
make the process a collaborative rather than lonely one.

Modality & Approach:
My identities as a Black woman and a child of immigrants inform my therapeutic
practice, and I strive to create a space that is mindful of the various cultural contexts,
systems, and identities that may impact you and our relationship. My clinical
background is primarily in trauma-focused therapy. I have specialized training in
Cognitive Processing Therapy, a modality specifically developed for PTSD, and draw on
psychoeducation and cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches. I
have experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse adults, children, and
families, and I enjoy working with BIPOC and queer adults, as well as those with
personal or family migration history.

Self-Care Statement
I enjoy long, meandering walks or runs; talking with friends about what we’re reading;
and watching women’s basketball (Go Liberty!).
