Take charge of your emotional health and restore balance in your life. I am a clinical social worker with specialized training and experience in a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches. Through a collaborative, open, and safe therapeutic relationship, I will help you identify and improve upon any patterns of behavior, negative thoughts, and other internal conflicts that may be getting in your way of achieving the happy and fulfilling life you deserve. My style is trauma-informed, affirming, and compassionate. I will make our therapy a supportive and safe place to work for building new skills and strategies to help you achieve your goals. Seeking therapy is a courageous and transformational step toward positive change — let’s begin!
Modality and Approach
I specialize in working with adults and adolescents who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, relationships, and self-esteem. I also have advanced training and experience helping those who are grappling with a range of disordered eating issues, such as restricting food, compulsive eating, compensatory behaviors, and body acceptance. I am certified in trauma-informed clinical practice from NYU and have completed a 2-year certification in eating disorder treatment from the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy.
My approach is highly tailored to your needs. I bring a whole-person, integrated approach to treatment that truly meets you where you are. At times, we may apply a psychodynamic approach to help you gain a deeper understanding of the internal dynamics that are driving your challenges. At other times, we may incorporate cognitive behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices to help you break negative cycles and utilize your strengths to build new and healthier coping skills.
Therapy is for everyone. Anyone can achieve full recovery and meaningful change. I invite you to reach out, and explore how working together can help you create the transformational change you want for your life.
What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?
Running has always been a way for me to release stress while building physical and emotional resiliency. I especially love running along the Hudson River on the west side of Manhattan or in Central Park. For me, running is a meditation that boosts my mood and helps me stay connected to my body and to my environment. I’ve learned so many life lessons while on the run.
