My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can embrace your authentic self, both during our sessions and in your everyday life. Through creativity and collaboration, I strive to ensure that our sessions always center on your experiences and what matters most to you. My work as a therapist is grounded in a strengths-based approach, where we work together to build on your existing strengths and resources to create meaningful change. I consider a collaborative therapeutic partnership to be a solid foundation in our work together, and I am excited to be a part of this wonderful journey of discovery with you!
Modality and Approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered, meeting you where you are and placing your experiences at the center of our work. I focus on building your strengths and tailoring the process to what feels most supportive for you, drawing from psychodynamic principles, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness. When working with children and youth, I often incorporate Social Emotional Learning interventions, arts based therapy and play therapy. I also integrate practical skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as needed to help clients navigate challenges and foster meaningful growth.
Self-Care Statement
I’m naturally a morning person and starting my day with mindfulness practices and gentle movement, such as yoga or walks, really helps me feel grounded. I also find comfort in my morning coffee, arts and crafts, and spending time with friends. Taking these moments to slow down amidst New York’s busy pace has become an important way for me to care for my emotional and physical well-being.
