I believe, at its heart, that therapy is the process of being human. Though the questions that arise may be challenging and the work may be surprising, my goal is to form a comfortable, natural therapeutic relationship. We are not here to change your past or create a new reality, but to take the steps to embracing your present and accepting the truth that has always been within you. It’s like having a word on the tip of your tongue but you can’t quite remember it—however, with the right question or insight, you might find that word or memory and get relief in finally saying it aloud. Together, we will explore your truest sense of self by verbalizing and celebrating where you feel seen by the surrounding world, where you feel set apart, and where you lack a sense of trust in yourself.

Modality and Approach

As a therapist, I work with you to explore and apply our work in therapy to your everyday life. When we first meet we will define what progress looks like to you and how to get there. Along the way, we will discuss the bumps in the road in your present life and how your deeper truths and experiences relate to them. My goal is that you leave our sessions feeling hopeful, stronger, and having more clarity. I use cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, along with other skills, to best fit your needs.

As a therapist, I work with you to explore and apply our work in therapy to your everyday life. When we first meet, we will envision what progress means to you and how we can achieve it in therapy. My goal is that you leave our sessions with a rejuvenated sense of direction and clarity of mind. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic-based techniques—I believe strongly in the importance of both a strengths-based approach and our mind-body connection.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, dancing, playing tennis, and watching movies. Most importantly, I love to immerse myself and be fully present—to talk about simple things, talk about unforgettable things, and to enjoy the random, passing moments of life. I also enjoy leisurely mornings.
