Therapy itself is transformative and I believe that having a tailored and eclectic approach in therapy is necessary to adjust to life’s changes, challenges and growth throughout our lives. Modality and Approach
My approach to therapy is adaptive, collaborative, and personalized to the needs and experiences of each client. I believe therapy can be inviting, effective, and meaningful. I also respect the importance of cultural competence and anti-oppressive care.
In therapy, I use elements from a Strengths-Based approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. I will work with you to determine which approaches and modalities are the best fit your unique needs. My goal is to provide you with more autonomy and agency in the world.
What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?
I find that on some days the best way for me to unwind is by lighting a candle, dimming the lights, and relaxing with my comfort foods. Nature and music also help me decompress; I love watching the sunset on Pier 35 or walking through Central Park.
