Modality & Approach
My approach to therapy is compassionate, integrative, and adaptive to each client’s unique needs and goals. Using a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, I work from a primarily psychodynamic perspective rooted in attachment and relational theories. I incorporate practice methods from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy/dialectical behavior therapy, psychodynamic/insight-oriented therapy, and systems therapies. My recent focus has been on supporting my clients through the application of trauma-focused therapies based on neuroscience and the connection between mind and body.
What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental health and well-being?
Music has always been my number one healer—providing me with a never-ending supply of comfort, inspiration, and joy. It’s essential for me to make time each day to listen to my favorite music (either “of the moment” or “of all time”), usually accompanied by uninhibited singing and dancing in my apartment.
