Let’s talk! My therapy style is both collaborative and engaging – it’s a back-and-forth conversation about what is and isn’t serving you and taking the time to listen to your needs. As we get to know each other we will work together in order to create plan to meet your therapy goals.

I believe that finding happiness and achieving peace is not the absence of conflict and stress–it is our ability to better cope with it through better knowing ourselves. I want to partner with you so that you can make more conscious choices, develop resilience, and empower you to make changes and address barriers that might have you feeling stuck. Additionally, I will help you develop a more grounded and mindful way of being in a noisy world. I provide a non-judgmental and safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I also happen to think that humor and having a good laugh are incredibly healing too.

Modality & Approach

My work is always tailored to your specific needs. I tend to work from a combination of attachment/relational perspectives and utilize cognitive behavioral and mindfulness (CBT and MBSR) techniques. We can stay in the present and be solution focused together, or we can go back and look at history and patterns – or both. I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, and I operate from a trauma-informed lens. It’s important to me that all aspects of your personhood are acknowledged and not suppressed. So, while we might focus on different parts of your identity at different times, please know that all of you will be accepted and welcomed without judgement. Ultimately, we are all products of our upbringing and our environment and we carry that with us wherever we go. I hope to create a space that makes you feel comfortable enough to unpack it, process it, and make more mindful decisions in your everyday life.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

I listen to music throughout the day to either enhance or shift my mood. Also, I try to practice some form of mindfulness daily – even if it’s simply taking a moment to notice my breath when I’m feeling overwhelmed.
