I bring my authentic self to every session. You’ll get compassion, curiosity, humor, and honesty, along with an empathetic nudge that will challenge you to think differently or more deeply. My therapy sessions are collaborative and conversational. You’ll be in a safe space to process your unique emotions and experiences. I recognize it takes time to build a strong and comfortable therapeutic relationship to support deep processing, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.  Your commitment to therapy is a powerful tool for growth and healing. I invite you to feel empowered to offer feedback in our shared space as our relationship evolves and our work together unfolds.

Modality and Approach

My approach reflects the belief that no two people are exactly the same, and that everyone is multi-faceted. I work to understand your unique inner world and the experiences that have shaped you. I also emphasize gaining insight into the unconscious motivations behind your thoughts and actions. My goal is to help you expand your capacity for thought and feeling, and I will meet you where you are without judgment.

We may want to look back in order to look ahead, but it’s also valuable to stay in the here-and-now in order to orient towards solutions. Paying special attention to systems of power and vicissitudes in trauma and attachment, the approaches I use most often are Psychodynamic, Narrative, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. I also integrate neuroscience, mindfulness and Cognitive/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques to help make connections between the mind and body.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

Connection — with my loved ones, myself, and nature — is incredibly grounding for me. I try to incorporate small actions that help me stay mindful and present as much as I can. Every day, I get outside to walk my dog and listen to music or give someone who is important to me a call. Laughing as often as possible is also a must.
